Our Story
BSA Troop 1002 was founded in Richmond, Texas with a simple mission: to build young men and women of character through the timeless values of Scouting. For over two decades, our troop has been a cornerstone of the Fort Bend County community, guiding Scouts from their first campout to the pinnacle of Eagle Scout.
Our troop is chartered by St John United Methodist Church Men committed to youth development and community service. We meet weekly, camp monthly, and serve our community year-round — living out the Scout Oath and Law in everything we do.
